Aakrosh

A deafening silence welcomes two investigative officers as they venture out into a village called Jhanjhar in Bihar.

What would bring two brilliant officers to a seemingly sleepy village?

Pratap (Ajay Devgan) and Siddhant (Akshaye Khanna) find the going extremely tough as they investigate why three students from Delhi University are still missing in Jhanjhar.

Amongst all the seriousness of an investigation is a cop called Ajatshatru Singh (played by Paresh Rawal).

Paresh Rawal is stupendously brilliant as he characterizes a crooked cop who is brash, loud, crude and even sarcastic. His dialogues have all the irony as he delivers them blunt and bold with a hideous touch!

Both Ajay Devgan and Akshaye Khanna complement each other in style; the former plays a tough officer who prefers to let his fists and gun do the talking, while the latter prefers the waiting mind game!

The movie Aakrosh showcases the brutal nexus amongst the politicians, the police and those with a supposedly high status in the village.

Photography by Tirru is superb with some realistic looking action sequences. Don’t miss the stunts; they are crisp and very well shot!

Priyadarshan’s direction too will keep you gripped if you care to watch a movie with good action, even better dialogues, that delves deep into an otherwise hushed topic of honour killings!

Watch this serious yet engrossing movie as the plot only thickens and the story develops slowly into a thriller...
