Main Aur Mrs. Khanna
The film starring Kareena Kapoor, Salman Khan and Sohail Khan is a simple ordinary story set in a contemporary Melbourne.
The story revolves around the lives of Samir Khanna (played by Salman Khan) and Raina (played by Kareena Kapoor), who have a fairy tale marriage.
“When the wolf comes in at the door, love creeps out of the window” - that is the essence of this story...
Samir is forced to move to Singapore in search of a job, while Raina remains behind in Melbourne.
Can that one decision make or break their lives?
Melbourne International airport is the unmatched location for this human drama.
As planes arrive and take off, so do people carrying their baggage of emotions, tensions and unresolved conflicts.
Our three protagonists - Raina, Samir and Akash(played by Sohail Khan) - are three such people whose lives entwine at this airport.
Here the three find themselves in transit - at the crossroads of life where each has to make a decision that will change their lives...
On the technical side, it’s strange to see suddenly the setting and backdrop change to Dubai (yes, parts of the movie is shot in Dubai).
Strange, especially since all along the movie has been set in Melbourne!
Kareena is good and so is Salman. Sohail and the co-stars too do a good job with a bit of comedy throughout the movie.
Don’t miss catching Preity Zinta on the big screen after ages in a short role.
Not one of those defining movies, but definitely the better one of the week compared to the other releases, this Diwali.
A watchable romantic flick!
